Our latest Koh Samui deal includes seven nights of island luxury at Infinity Residences Spa & Resort in Koh Samui. There’s also an incredible upgrade option with a two-night stopover at the five-star AETAS Hotel in Bangkok!

The Bangkok leg of the journey may be enjoyed at the beginning or the end of your trip. Regular travellers to Thailand will tell you that one of the highlights of Bangkok, apart from the incredible range of touristy and culinary adventures (like the Royal Palace and Floating Markets) is some of the best shopping to be had anywhere . Quick tip from us – if you’re planning to do lots of shopping, best to plan the Bangkok leg at the end of the trip.

The Infinity Residences Spa & Resort Koh Samui

J ok 15 IMG_8786

From the moment you get picked up from Koh Samui airport by one of the delightful Thai front office staff, you get the feeling that you are in for a truly special experience. The drive to the resort is quick (around twenty minutes) and during the trip, the Infinity staff gave us a run down of everything we needed to know about the resort and some great tips about the Island.

First impressions count, and all we can say is that the first impression of this resort was mind blowing.

You arrive at the resort after a short drive up a mountain that fronts the ocean, and the view from reception is amazing. We sat down and took in the views, while all the check-in processes were being completed.

We were then taken down on a little Golf Buggy to our room, (unfortunately, they wouldn’t let us drive…)

If you’re expecting a standard hotel room at Infinity – think again.

Each guest enjoys what appears to be a designer penthouse apartment – complete with modern leather furniture, three TVs, a 12-person dining table, and an unreal wall to wall view which looks out to a private infinity pool and the ocean beyond. It is literally out of this world, and the largest hotel room we’ve ever seen.

The living space is enormous, and unlike most resort rooms, where everyone is on top of each other, it appeared to be more like an apartment or holiday house proportions — the bedrooms also have ocean views, just in case you were wondering.

You can literally walk outside and have a stunning ocean view from the comfy lounge chairs – no need to get up early and reserve your lounges…

The Food  & Drink

It’s no surprise that the staff at Infinity pay great attention to their culinary offerings. The menu features an extensive range of Western and Asian cuisine with a changing menu of daily specials and three-course set meals. Most of the time we dined at the main restaurant, which has a sweeping view over the ocean. Your deal includes two three course dinners for two people at the resort’s main restaurant.

We loved feasting upon breakfast each morning while enjoying the 180-degree ocean views looking across to the party island of Koh Pha Nang. The service is attentive, and coffee seemed to be a bottomless cup experience! We tried both the western (eggs, muesli, fruit, bacon) and Asian breakfasts (rice and noodle soups) during our stay to mix things up.

The Fisherman’s Wharf is a ten minute drive from the resort and is a quaint walking street filled with an incredible range of seafood, Thai and international restaurants. We were well and truly spoiled for choice at Fisherman’s wharf.

You can also venture to Chaweng for a great range of dining options. It’s well worth trying Prego at the Amari or TreeTops for something more towards the fine-dining end. Chaweng is about a 30 minute drive from the Resort.

The largest town in Koh Samui, Chaweng is an eclectic mix of luxury hotels and backpackers. You can also try the many beach restaurants (while you sit on cushions and enjoy cocktails and freshly barbecued seafood) and a variety of bars and nightlife.

But back to Infinity, the package also includes a round of sunset cocktails for each adult at the Infinity Restaurant and Bar. It is as romantic and relaxing as it sounds. Sitting back, sipping a Pina Colada and watching the sun go down … heaven!

It’s tempting to spend the entire trip relaxing by the pool, only leaving the villa to go to the restaurant. We’d suggest avoiding temptation and trying to leave… just once.

The Infinity Resort’s Day Spa allows guests to enjoy indulgent spa treatments on-site from experienced therapists. (The spa is also open to non-residents so we suggest booking your treatments early). While the prices are slightly cheaper than those in Australia, it is relatively expensive by Thai standards, but it’s very much a case of getting what you pay for (there are many more lower priced options in Koh Samui if budget is a concern).

The offer includes four indulgent spa treatments to share between guests, which gives this deal incredible value.

Travelling with Kids?

This is a great place for families if you’re happy to spend time together, relax by the pool, and make your own fun. Whilst there are many day trips that you can take in Koh Samui (and the resort is more than happy to provide advice), because of the super upmarket nature of the resort, there isn’t a specific Kids Club.

The villas are so large though, with two bedrooms, a very large living room, private pool and garden that they’re ideal for families as well as couples.

In addition your own private pool there is also a resort pool near the restaurant.

Bangkok Stopover

The AETAS Hotel in Bangkok

Rather enjoy a longer Thai escape? Why not opt for the Adults-Only Bangkok Stopover Upgrade option with a bonus two night stay at the super luxurious AETAS in Bangkok.

The AETAS Bangkok is a new hotel pitched at the corporate market, so it includes all the luxury touches. As with any Bangkok hotel, location is the key, and this is where AETAS really excels. Its central location makes it ideal to access Bangkok’s shopping districts, but it’s also located behind a small park so you can escape the hustle and bustle and enjoy a tranquil oasis.

Bangkok itself is part cultural phenomenon, part shopping heaven and part tourist treasure, making it one of the most compelling of Asian cities. A steamy, pulsating, yet smiling metropolis of more than ten million – intense at first, but addictive as anything.

Visitors can have their choice of dazzling temples, eclectic markets, palaces, ritzy (even by Western standards) shopping malls and a famous night life.

Enjoy planning your own adventures like a memorable dinner cruise adrift the Chao Phraya River. Bask in the city’s warm, affluent glow at a skyscraping rooftop bar. Experience all the things – tuk-tuk ride, ladyboy show, Muay Thai (kickboxing) match or a Thai massage, you’ll be amazed how much can be done in two days!

The Rooms

As you’d expect, the rooms at AETAS are stunning and spacious. Complete with wooden panelling and thick carpets, they offer a cozy, yet elegant setting. Keeping in touch with friends back home is easy with the hotel’s  ‘smart anywhere’ wireless network in all guest rooms and public areas. Bathrooms include a funky see-through glass panel (which can be closed off for privacy) and feature bathtubs and rain-showers.

The food at AETAS is superb, with an Award-Winning Kitchen team offering buffet and a la cart options and a choice between Western, Middle-Eastern, and Asian cuisines. The offer includes a buffet breakfast each morning to get you started before hitting up Bangkok.

The Pool

Bangkok can get a bit hot and humid, so it’s critical to have a nice pool to return to for cooling off. The AETAS pool doesn’t disappoint. Perched on the sixth floor, the oasis is surrounded by trees and the sun loungers are super comfortable. You can order food and drinks by the pool or use the pool bar. Guests are also able to relax in two outdoor spa baths.

There’s heaps of luxe bonuses to enjoy in Aetas Bangkok too, like a choice of relaxing spa treatments or a tempting Iron Chef cooking demo with feast, plus a lazy late checkout so you can indulge right down to the very last second.

There’s no better way to experience the magic of Thailand – checkout the deal now!

TripAdvisor Reviews:

“Being an operations manager for one of the biggest travel agents in the UK I was a particularly hard customer to please having stayed at some of the best hotels globally. Myself and my family stayed at the Infinity Residence & Resort Koh Samui this year and honestly could not write a more positive review. The 3 bedroom penthouse apartment with private pool was absolutely immaculate and catered for the 5 of us extremely well, very luxurious with the most breath taking views. The staff – Absolute professionals in every way! My mother in law had an accident that required surgery and the help and assistance we received was second to none. I would completely recommend this property to any traveller! Thank you again for all your hospitality and will see you in the very near future.”

“We stayed here for 10 nights in March. Arrived late at night and woke up to a fabulous view. Units are large and well equipped with everything you need and serviced daily. The restaurant also has great views from where ever you are seated. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The grounds were well kept and there was always staff working to keep it that way. The manager Roger was very friendly and always asking if we needed anything and willing to have a chat with you. There is also about 6 restaurants and a beach bar on the main road to choose from. We had a fabulous 10 nights and will go back again. Could not find fault in anything, Manager and all staff were the best.”

“Absolutely super experience. We received a very warm welcome as soon as we arrived and all the staff were friendly and helpful. The suites are absolutely lovely – loads of space and very well appointed. The views are stunning. A complimentary car service is provided to the main road and you are given a free mobile phone to use so that you call to ask to be picked up too. I would recommend hiring a car to see the island – we used Lucky Bie Rentals which is near the Seven Eleven at the bottom of the hill. The couple who run it are really lovely and friendly and the car was brilliant.”
